Ireneo Bughao or “Mr. Blue” to friends is a native of Negros Oriental, a province south of Manila. He graduated valedictorian both in Elementary and High School @Bayawan City, Negros Oriental and completed A.B. Mathematics at the University of Mindanao, graduated Marine Engineering and Master of Science in Management @Feati University.
He took up computer modular courses at Datamex Computer School-Makati City, which he put to good use in formulating the calendar game program (Datewhiz) and in 1987, he developed the Multi-Century calendar for which he became famous.
He has honed his mathematical skills and has been a contributor of numerical puzzles to the Mr. & Ms. Magazine from 1986 till 1990. Mr. Bughao had received Certificates and Plaques of Appreciation from his Alma Mater both in Intermediate and Secondary schools.
He has been featured in nationwide and highly rated television shows and acclaimed as the undisputed “Calendar King” and likewise adjudged as “Numbers King”. He was also featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not newsletter in July 1997 which was published in 175 newspapers in 28 countries around the world.
Mr. Bughao has been duly acclaimed as the “RIPLEY’S HUMAN CALENDAR” for having mastered the art and science of calendar calculation of the Gregorian Perpetual calendar (October 15, 1582 – December 31, 9999).
Apparently, Mr. Bughao can also perform his calendar calculation with infinite years of future millennia. Names of large numbers below can be used as years to support his calculations far and beyond.
